As a Greek I think this is a great video but... I do not think anyone owes me anything and I do not depend on these Rocks. The ones that depend on the rocks and make money out of is a handful of people pulling the strings of the industry of tourism. The rest of us just work wherever there is a job. Unfortunately the peoples' spirit is nowadays broken but fortunately this was never a problem in the long run through Greek history.

It's insane to me how many people have positive things to say about Athens in the comments. It is a concrete hell. Nothing is clean or properly maintained. The sidewalks are created so that we have somewhere to plant trees, not made for pedestrians let alone disabled people. Almost all buildings were made during 70s-80s and they are like lifeless soviet concrete blocks. If you compare that to any beautiful European city, or even hyper modern USA/Chinese city you get worse of both worlds. We don't have the shiny new cool buildings. We don't have the gorgeous historical buildings like in rest of Europe. We have ugly concrete blocks and disgusting roads and sidewalks. It's easily one of the ugliest cities I've seen. It does have a cool underground scene, Berlin-esque style, but that's about it.

Adding another factor to the hate-or-love polikatikia thing: Unlike in many european cities, in Athens there were hardly ever sacrificed... the balconies! From the tiniest to the biggest appartment, from the 1st to the top floor, appartments without a balcony are of rare occurence (except for residences on big streets/avenues, sacrificed for having relevant-sized pavements)

The open shot had me thinking it was somewhere near then heard in corona queens and instantly knew where it was, i live less than 5 minute walk, all see it on my way to hinton park on 113 and 14ave, so weird seeing a video about a housing buildings where i grew up, it was a great fealing knowing i knew it and have always walk around there, used to be super calm and nice, but ever since the hotel on northern boulevard and 112 got flooded with migrants, those streets get hectic at times, still a beautiful area and still walk around it.
